Great article which outlines how leaders can embed innovation into their organization… I’ll quote a few lines….
“Innovation requires a mindset focused on discovery of the unknown, not on execution of the existing.” (This is a constant question i ask when in discussions, are we talking about really new stuff or about developing the existing models?)
“At the heart of a discovery mindset is the willingness to ask different questions.” (Also very important, the only borders that exist are the ones you yourself put on your mindset)
“Management’s job is not to prevent risk but to build the capability to recover when failures occur,” (as existing companies are driven by preventing risk, one might wonder whether true innovation can be fully achieved within those companies?)
And please read the seven skills you require when practicing innovation, as it can be learned and teached!
